Help get Ava to Seattle
Donation protected
Hi my name is Jennifer I am one of little Ava's grandma's. The week of Christmas they came to my house and there was some concerns of the bruises she was starting to get all over her body. They showed me and I literally got sick to my stomach. These definitely were not normal bruises. I called my son the next day and told him the first thing that popped into my head was leukemia. He promised they would get her into the Dr ASAP. She went to CHC on Christmas Eve and they drew her blood and sent her on home. When I say this baby was bruised you would have had to see it with your own eyes. They called her that evening and said her platelets were extremely low so don't let her rough house, becareful brushing her teeth ect... On Monday she went and had more blood work. Charlie just got home with her and they said she needed to be admitted into the hospital. They put her in. Normal platelet counts are between 200,000 to 450,000 Ava was down to 8,000. They gave her an IV antibiotic that was suppose to help bring her platelets up and sent her home the following day. They said she has a autoimmune disease called ITP which means her body is destroying her own platelets. When she came home from the hospital she had such a headache she cried the whole entire night and the following day she was back in the ER. One of the effects of ITP is she is a very high risk for bleeding on the brain or into the gut. They send her back home and said it's just a headache. Again the following day she was in the ER again because of her head. This time the told her it could be a side effect of the IV and again sent her home. She can only take tylenol due to the risk of bleeding. Charlie reached out to children's hospital in Seattle and they don't feel like Butte has the facilities to take care of her situation. She still is bruising even if you touch her. This is so scary. They are in the process of getting her there. Kolby and Charlie have no money. These past couple weeks someone always has to be there because they also have Natolllia who will be 1 this month. Just hoping to take a little stress off of them. I understand if you can't donate but she definitely could use some prayers. Thank you very much.
