Help get Alpha to 2024 Nationals!

The North Carolina State men's ultimate team has qualified for USA Ultimate's nationals for the fifth straight time! This achievement is incredibly tough to accomplish year after year and should be celebrated. The NCSU program is one that has been nationally relevant in the past, winning a national title in 1999 under the name Jinx. The team has had success throughout the regular season and our efforts came together at regionals this past weekend. This group has 10 players in their last year, and we are beyond grateful for them and our ability to send them out on the biggest stage. Alpha 2024 is a unique group that has bonded together through accountability and love for one another.

However, as with any great achievement, the cost of this trip and tournament is a significant burden on many of our players and their families. The tournament is in Madison, Wisconsin and requires flights for most of us in order to get to the tournament. Lingering ramifications of the pandemic as well as a rain out of our home tournament has meant that securing funds this year has been a struggle more than in years past.

As much as we want to attend this tournament, we realize that the cost many times is too tough for our players to front, on top of what we have asked them to contribute already this season. Between hotels, per-player bid fees, and food, the cost of this tournament can end up being hundreds of dollars per player.

Here is where we call on you, the fantastic ultimate community! You've done an amazing job up to this point supporting us emotionally and mentally. Now we ask that you give a little bit of financial support to the team. No donation is too small or will go unnoticed. There are players who will not be able to attend this tournament without outside help, and so you can feel secure that your donation will be used to allow for this team to be together as a whole for one last weekend.
