Help get Ahmed and family to Canada

My name is Anne O Rorke, from Waterford Ireland. I am the president and founder of T.I.A.F.I. (Team International Assistance for Integration) in Izmir Turkey.

I met Ahmed and Shaymaa five years ago, refugees from Syria, when she was about to give birth to their son in squalor conditions here in Turkey.

They had travelled on foot for many miles some through mountainous terrain. Their hopes and dream to insure her unborn son would never know suffering like they had endured and witnessed in war torn Syria. They had faced death many times, spending sleepless nights waiting for the next bomb to drop. Lost loved ones, many days with very little food and basic human needs.

Miracles do happen and it recently happened for them, they have a sponsor in Canada, a once in a lifetime chance of a new life for their family. However they have to prove to the Canadian government they can support themselves for one year. All donations would go to pay rent, buy furniture, bedding food and pay utility bills until they get on their own feet. Your donation can give Ahmed, Shaymaa  Baraa and Omar hope.

Ahmed works tirelessly in TIAFI, constantly helping in every area, he has been a great strength to me, I can call on him day or night to help other young refugees.

He will only be an asset to Canada, wherever he finds work he will be an exemplary employee and citizen, please help us give him a new start.   

The war still rages on in Syria, with over 500,000 people killed, including more than 55,000 children and over more than 5.6 million have now fled their country. Another 6 million at least have been internally displaced.
