I am desperately reaching out for help for our precious little girl. We are a local Glenville family of six and our youngest age 17 months has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which is a uncurable muscle disease. This is something that usually runs in boys, for her to have this its 1 in 50 million girls. We aren't exactly sure what kind of life Madalynn will have as she gets older.
This unexpected news hit us like a ton of bricks. Our other children, ages 8, 6 and 4 have all been healthy. There is no doctors that specialize in this locally so we will frequently need to bring her to Rochester.
It is unfortunate that we will also have to find a different home, one to void stairs as they pose a danger. Once our daughter is able to walk, she will be
unsteady on her feet meaning that a ranch home will be required. She also may require a wheelchair to help her get around.
Our daughter will continue to require having several appointments each week to help her live with the condition that she has which is resulting in me having to leave my job. And now we are seeking help more now then ever before.

We are asking for donations to help off set everyday expenses so I am able to give her the care that she needs and be home with her.
Madalynn is the sweetest girl and would light up any room. She loves hugs, kisses and big snuggles. She really enjoys playing with her siblings but it is a struggle for her to keep up with them. Watching her have everyday struggles is extremely hard for us.
