Help Get a Bike for a Dedicated Young Cook

Hi! So Raelynn and I met a gem of a kid tonight working at Applebees in Galesburg. He was getting off his shift as a cook and hoping to find a ride home. He had a 2 mile walk through downtown somewhat late at night. Obviously we volunteered. As we took him home he was telling us he has a turbulent upbringing and isn’t close to much family. He was super proud if his accomplishments with the special Olympics and his track team going to state. We asked him if it would be helpful if he had a bike to ride to work and he was ecstatic at the thought. He also mentioned that he doesn’t have data on his phone as it is prepaid and he ran out of minutes. The staff at Applebees expressed what a great kid he is and how hard of a worker he’s been. Long story long, we’d like to get him a good bike to ride to work. If we should exceed at the goal, we’d like to get him a prepaid card for his phone also. We heard he works Tuesdays regularly so we are hoping to have one by Tuesday. If you’d like to help, I know he would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
