Dear friends,

We are writing to ask for help. As you probably know, Steve had a massive stroke in December that resulted in his left side becoming paralyzed and he’s now wheelchair/bedridden. He recently got home from Magee Rehab Hospital on March 25th and need a great deal of medical care. We have been hit with exorbitant bills including an emergency medical helicopter ride and more in-home care than anyone could imagine. Only a portion is covered by his Medicare Advantage insurance. 

Even with these setbacks, Steve is embracing what he calls “the second half of his life” and has a lot more living to do. We’d like to keep him home as long as we can care for him. Everyone who talks to him can see his improvements, but he needs a great deal of home health care and equipment. 

We are grateful we have many dear friends in our lives who have asked how they can help. We want to do everything possible to keep him safe and comfortable at home so we are asking for your assistance. Anything you can contribute is more appreciated than you could know. Thank you.
