Hi, my name is Gesenia, and I’m reaching out with a hopeful and humble heart. My husband, Hugo, and I have been married since 2004. For nearly two decades, we’ve carried the dream of becoming parents — a dream that has been both beautiful and heartbreaking.
In 2007, we were overjoyed to become pregnant naturally. Sadly, at 8 weeks, we lost our baby, and I had to undergo a D&C. That loss shook us deeply, but we held onto hope.
Since then, we’ve been on a long, emotional road filled with fertility treatments, prayers, and perseverance. I was diagnosed with PCOS, which may be a factor in our infertility. In 2018, we began working with fertility specialists and tried multiple treatments:
* Letrozole and Clomid cycles
* A round of IUI in 2019 (unfortunately unsuccessful)
* Surgery to remove a benign polyp
* Another round of treatment in 2024, with no success
Now, in 2025, our doctors have recommended IVF as our best and most hopeful next step.
Why We’re Asking for Help
IVF gives us our greatest chance of finally having our rainbow baby, but it comes with a heavy financial burden. The cost — including medications, procedures, and monitoring — is around $20,000, and we’ve exhausted our insurance coverage.
Asking for help is not easy, but we know that community can move mountains. If you're able to donate, any amount — no matter how small — brings us closer to our dream. And if you can’t donate, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could share our story.
Thank You
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support. With your help, we hope to finally hold our long-awaited child in our arms and give them all the love we’ve been carrying in our hearts.
With love and hope,
Gesenia & Hugo
