Help Gerry’s family say goodbye

Donation protected

Hello Friends and Family,

On January 29th at 3:25am, God called his son back home. Gerry unexpectedly left behind his wife Crystal, his three kids Kate, Stephanie and Kevin and his four Grandkids that loved him so much. Just a month ago he was enjoying Christmas with his family. I never thought in a million years I’d ever find myself  doing this but my last promise to him was that I would take care of his family when he left.

My Uncle Gerry was like my second dad. He is one of the kindest most honest people I have ever known. He spent his life providing for others. He worked as a nursing assistant, caring for his patients, holding their hands when they were alone, feeding them, bathing them, and praying for them during their final days. He was just two years away from retiring after working in hospitals and caring for thousands of people over 30 years. He was excited to enjoy his life with his family in the home that he worked so hard for. As the main source of income for his family they are left broken with burden. For those of you who knew him, you knew he had a contagious laugh and a selfless personality. He would take the shirt off his back for a stranger.

This man was the crutch for his family. I pray that as we try to lift his family up and try to put the pieces back together that we take the financial stress off their plate. He was the best husband to his wife, they were inseparable. He worked two sometimes three jobs to provide a life for his kids he didn’t have himself. His grandkids stuck by his side like little tadpoles. He was more than an uncle to his nephews and nieces but like a father to them.

The emptiness our family feels without him has been one of the most tragic times of our lives. While we can never bring him back, his memory will live through his loved ones until we meet him again in heaven.

I’ve organized this for our friends and family who won’t be able to make the travels to Arizona to say goodbye. I know many of you have asked how you can help. Anything will help, even a prayer or a share.
