Help Gerri heal from auto accident

Over the holidays, my beautiful, active sister-in-law Gerri Slim was involved in a terrible auto accident which resulted in severe injuries to her feet, leg and internal organs.

The closest hospital to the accident was Tuba City, which is where Gerri is recovering from multiple surgeries.

Those of us in her immediate family are based mostly in the Phoenix area, so we are doing everything we can to get her transferred here to the valley.

In the meantime, her eldest daughter Vandrianna Thompson (we call her by her nickname Cabbage) has been in Tuba City  by her side, overseeing her care and supporting her Mom emotionally. Because Cabbage is with her mom, she cannot work, which means there is less resource for living expenses.

Gerri's son Taque Thompson is the beneficiary and will be managing the fund withdrawal and distribution. He continues to work in Phoenix to keep funds coming in for the family.

Gerri's road to recovery will be long (an estimated 3 months before she can bear weight on her feet), but we are confident that with time, care and prayers she will once again pursue her greatest passion of hiking.

We are asking for immediate financial support for the following things:

-Accommodations for Cabbage in Tuba City while she takes care of her mom, since she cannot stay in the hospital

-Out of pocket medical expenses for equipment needed for Gerri's recovery and wound treatment

-Living expenses for Gerri and Cabbage (they live together) while they are unable to work

-Physical therapy expenses as Gerri recovers from her injuries

-Unforeseen expenses that we will uncover as we learn more about the recovery process
