Help Gerardo Replace His Stolen Belongings

My friend Gerardo Hernandez, a sophomore in college, went back home to NYC due to health concerns. He was experiencing shortness of breath, and he was having trouble swallowing his food. As he was visiting the Montefiore Hospital near Mosholu Pkwy, he had left his backpack in his friend's car and it was broken into. In his bag he had his wallet which roughly had $850 dollars, his laptop which was roughly $1600, his passport, and important medical records. He has already contacted the police and filed a report, but he still has to go back to college and continue working towards his degree even in these circumstances. We know we'd be lucky if the police could recover anything he has lost, but I'm not so sure if luck is on our side. So please, if you can, donate and help my friend replace what he has lost.
