Hi my name is Adeline, known to many as Loli, I am fundraising for my father. Gerardo Zuniga aka Guero, has been hit hard by Covid-19 and has been in the ICU at Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara, California. The doctors at Kaiser give us an update once a day and they have told us that he is unable to speak because he struggles to breathe and he is very weak, his oxygen levels drop very low, and they told us that he could be put on a ventilator at any moment if he does not improve soon. Gerardo is currently on high amounts of oxygen and steroids, and we are praying that he’s strong enough and improves just the slightest to avoid the vent.

His wife has also tested positive for Covid, and all their children are currently in quarantine at home. No one is working now and with Gerardo being head of household and in ICU, he is not capable of working to continue supporting his family. His family is struggling to purchase groceries and pay rent.

After 30 plus years of Gerardo being a soccer coach and working within his community, he has done so much for his soccer teams families, for many of us, and for anyone who has ever asked him for help. If you know him, you know how generous he is and how he is always willing to lend a hand. We want to be able to help him during his time of need as he has helped countless families during their time of need. We are asking for any monetary donations to please help his family pull through these desperate and unimaginably difficult times until Gerardo can recover and get back to work.
