My name is Gerardo, and I am facing the most difficult battle of my life. Last year, I suffered a heart attack and had two more stents implanted, bringing my total to four. Shortly after, I was diagnosed with nasal cancer and underwent two major surgeries—one lasting 11 hours and another 5 hours. Just three months later, I was rushed to the emergency room with severe stomach pain. Doctors discovered that I needed to have 75% of my colon and 15% of my small intestine removed. I left the hospital with an ileostomy and began a new round of challenges, including 12 rounds of chemotherapy.
Now, I am fighting stage 4 colon cancer with metastases in my lungs. After eight months of treatment and nine chemotherapy sessions, I have exhausted all my financial resources. I am deeply in debt, unable to pay my rent, and terrified that I won't be able to finish my treatment.
I never imagined I would be in this position, but I am reaching out for help. The funds raised will go directly toward my hospital bills, ongoing treatments, medications, and rent. Your support will give me a chance to complete my treatment and focus on healing, rather than worrying about how to survive. Please forgive me for asking for help—I wish I weren't in this situation, but unfortunately, I am. I am grateful to everyone who joins in helping me fight this disease and supports me in this difficult time. Only God knows the destiny of our lives. I want to thank everyone who helps me, even in the smallest way, so that I can finish my treatment.
