Hello, my name is Gerardo. I am about a month away from turning 33. My life has changed completely since I was diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease (EKSD) last week. My days are now filled with dialysis treatments that keep me alive but also leave me weak and exhausted.
Before I got sick, I was always a hardworking person, doing everything I could to support my family and give my 6-year-old son, Killian, the best life possible. But because of my condition, I am no longer able to work, and the costs of medical bills, medications, transportation, and basic living expenses have become overwhelming.
My biggest hope is to one day receive a kidney transplant and regain my health so I can be the active, present dad my son deserves. While I wait for that opportunity, I am asking for your help to cover the costs of my ongoing treatments, transplant preparation, and household expenses.
I've set a goal of $50,000.00 to help me get through this difficult time and focus on my health and my son. Any donation - no matter how small - means the world to me and brings me one step closer to stability and a healthier future.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my story, for your kindness, and for helping me keep fighting for my life and for Killian.
I love everyone and bless your soul
