Tragedy struck on that fateful morning around 11 AM. The rain-slicked surface gave way beneath his feet, and Gerald tumbled from the roof, losing consciousness upon impact. Panic engulfed his family. His granddaughter Heather administered CPR, desperately trying to breathe life back into her beloved grandfather.

In the midst of the chaos, Gerald's daughter Audrey, his loving wife Pam, and their other grandchildren rallied together, tirelessly seeking help. With their combined efforts, they managed to stabilize his breathing before rushing him to the nearest hospital.

As of September 4th, Gerald has been transferred to an acute care clinic, where he continues his courageous battle to recover. Through it all, the Benton family remains steadfast in their faith and gratitude, acknowledging the boundless support and blessings they've received.
