Help Gerald continue Necessary Medical Care

Hey everyone, as most know, my husband Gerald Frazier received 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 30% of his body from his ear to toes from a fire in our home on December 2nd, 2021. He was airlifted to Vanderbilt Burn Center, received an extremely painful debridement of the wounds and stayed in the burn unit for 2 weeks of treatment. In order to be discharged home without home health, I was taught how to do the necessary daily wound changes (sometimes multiple) needed for healing. The dressings are costly ranging from $50-$70/day and are vital to his care in order to assess and apply the medication to his large wound areas. Also, traveling to Vanderbilt weekly for doctors visits and physical therapy has been expressed by every doctor as a vital part of his continuing care and getting Gerald back to optimal health which is quickly adding up on travel expenses. It has been estimated that he will need to continue to receive that weekly care at Vanderbilt for at least 6 more months.

This has been a very stressful and trying time for our family because we got the unfortunate bad news that Gerald lost his new job of 4 months due to not being employed with that company for their requirements of a year employment in order to qualify for short term disability. We lost our only source of income and our health insurance. Have had to pay the necessary expenses out of pocket and our funds are exhausted. We have lasted thus far from donations that we have been so fortunate to have received. Without insurance, it has been very costly and we need help to continue with Gerald’s health journey for complete healing.

All donations will 100% go towards Gerald’s medical care and travel expenses.
