Help Geraint Get His Smile Back
Hi everyone. I am so sad to tell you all that I have been a victim of a gay hate crime where I was attacked because of my sexuality on Saturday, while at a small gathering at a friends home. I have endured a lot of emotional and physical pain over the past few days, and after seeing three separate dentists, my treatment has been priced up at an an average of £4000.
While I find it upsetting to talk about what happened and the emotional trauma and upset I’ve faced over the past few days, I have now got to focus on repairing my smile, which was once one of my more confident features. The NHS does not cover dental implants, and compensation is not a certainty, so it’s my responsibility now to stay strong and try to raise enough money to get a set of implants put in.
I wake up every morning to the reminder that my smile is gone, all because I am who I am. While the emotional trauma may be ongoing,
if I can raise £4000, I will be able to have a new smile in the next week or two. My whole life and livelihood revolves around my smile, being a teacher, dancer and performer, so I feel very lost and broken at the moment, which is why I need to raise the money urgently to get this fixed.
I don’t like asking for help, I also don’t want to have to tell you all what’s happened to me as it’s still so deeply upsetting that there is so much hate in the world and that it has been aimed at me and my sexuality, but i would be eternally grateful for any donations you may be able to offer in repairing my smile and getting me back dancing and confident in my smile again.
Thanks for reading and I hope to see you all soon (with a new smile)
Geraint xxx
