Help Georgina Win Her Battle with FIP!
Donation protected
Hi everyone my name is Sydney, and I own the cat cafe where Georgina is currently staying!
She is a very loving and loyal kitty. She deserves the very best home, but for now she is battling a vicious disease called FIP.
For 90 days from June to September, Georgina was on a medication abbreviated GS for FIP. In August, Georgie began to lose weight again, and she was having skin reactions to the acidic nature of GS medicine. This is why you've noticed her wearing a variety of shirts and socks to prevent her from reopening these wounds.
The cost of the initial GS treatment was about $1000 CAD. If Georgina's skin refuses to heal, we will need to excise the area at an approximate cost of $650.
Georgina's ill fate does not end there. The virus raging through her little body became resistant to the GS medication back in August. Since October, we have been trying a new medicine, but it is much more expensive. Molnupiravir is $10 USD per pill, and Georgie needs 1.5 pills per day, up to 2 pills per day, for the next 84 days.
Our cost for this is expected to be $2500 CAD with exchange rates and shipping.
Financially, the cafe is struggling to pay for Georgina's treatment. We have 20+ other cats to provide food, litter, and veterinary care to.
For approximately $30, you can provide Georgina a day of treatment. We just need 90 of Georgina's biggest fans to fully pay for her treatment with Molnupiravir ❤️ without it, we are facing a hard reality of having to say goodbye to Georgina.
Any amount helps, and we are graciously accepting donations of hardwood pellet litter and Iams Indoor Weight and Hairball dry food so that extra funds can be applied to Georginas medication.
We are incredibly grateful for the help and support for Georgina. We can't wait for her to get better and be adopted into a loving home.
Thank you.
