My friend Georgie Fehringer is an activist, writer, and queer woman of color — help her get to grad school! 

Georgie is a brilliant and promising writer who currently works as a para-educator for disabled primary school children.

In March Georgie was admitted to the prestigious MFA Non-Fiction Writing program at the University of Iowa — her dream school.

Due to unforeseen financial challenges, Georgie is being forced to choose between paying her rent here in Seattle and covering the cost of moving to Iowa City before the start of fall semester.

With support and patronage from the community Georgie would have enough money to cover travel and moving costs to Iowa, as well as re-housing expenses including a deposit.
