Update 8/12/24

Linnea here. I just wanted to thank everyone for their generosity and give a quick update on momma! We're halfway to our initial goal and cannot accurately convey oyr gratitude to everyone who has donated to and shared our fundraiser. Please keep spreading the word!

Mom continues to struggle with abdominal pain. The main focus at present is to make sure she gets enough nutrients. The hospital doesn't want to release her until she can hold down food. Lauren spent the day with her yesterday and reported that she was in decent spirits. Your love and support is felt and means more than you know!

Hello everyone,

The Sword sisters, Linnea and Lauren, here. As many of you are aware, mom has been struggling with some mysterious health issues for some time now. She's been in and out of the hospital multiple times over the past 15 months and is no closer to having answers than when this began. She is currently recovering from a ruptured appendix which she had emergency surgery to remove earlier this week. However, this is not proving to provide much relief from the pain and we still do not know the cause of her ailments.

I've had so many people reach out and ask how they can help or to let me know what we need. At this point mom's needs are, as most Americans living paycheck to paycheck, mainly monetary. She has missed a significant amount of work due to the nature of her illness.

It is my hope that we can take a bit of the bite off of her immediate financial needs so she can focus on recovering. Mortgage companies do not care when you have medical emergencies; they simply want their money.

Our $5,000 goal is an initial amount that will go toward mom's living expenses and bills while she recovers.

We are aware that funds are extremely tight and times are uncertain for most of us. If you feel called to help and are able to donate, please know that any amount is greatly appreciated. Asking for any kind of assistance is not something that is easy for anyone in our family, and we humbly thank you for any and all support you are willing to provide.
