Help Georgia Heal: Support Her Emergency Surgery

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out to ask for your help for the Parent’s sweet dog, Georgia. Georgia is a one-year-and-four-month-old rescue from the South who has brought so much love and joy into our lives. She’s playful, full of energy, and an important part of our family.

Georgia is also Macy’s BFF, so we offered to watch her for the weekend while the Parent family was out of town. Tragically, while playing in the backyard with Macy, Georgia broke her leg (tibia and fibula) and immediately became unable to bear any weight on her leg. We took her to the emergency vet, where they confirmed the break and splinted her, gave pain meds, and left us with strict instructions not to let her bear any weight and to follow up with the orthopedic surgeon. After speaking with the surgeon today, she absolutely requires immediate surgery, which is quoted to be a minimum of $7800, in addition to the $1200 for her for her emergency vet visit.

As a hard-working family, they do everything they can to provide for Georgia and give her the life she deserves, but the cost of her surgery and medical treatment is a terrible unexpected burden that they were not prepared for and could use our assistance with.
