Help Georgia Beat Cancer

Hi, my name is Nina, I am a painter, chef, and caregiver - and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my six year old Blue Heeler, Georgia.

Georgia came to me from a cattle farm in Kentucky in the summer of 2020. Freshly given birth and with patches of missing fur from previous abuse, I took her home with stars in my eyes. We’ve been inseparable for 5 years, and on our anniversary we received the call that she has cancer.

Georgia is more than a pet, she is my best friend. She has been my savior in the darkest of times, and she is far too young to leave us now. Despite the heartbreaking news, there is hope! Georgia’s doctors believe surgery could give her the chance at a longer, healthy life.

We are facing a huge hurdle: her first surgery is scheduled for Friday, August 1st, and we urgently need to raise $1,200 to cover the initial cost. It may be more, but we won't know if she’ll need chemotherapy until after her first surgery, at which point we may need to raise our initial goal.

Georgia has a gentle but tenacious soul, and I know she’s not ready to give up. If you’ve ever loved a pet, you know the pain of seeing them suffer — and the lengths you’d go to help them heal.
