George Griffith has always been a positive, fun-loving person, bringing joy to those around him. Sadly, he has been diagnosed with both bile duct cancer and liver cancer, and the cancer is now at the terminal stage. With limited time left, George’s greatest wish has always been to travel to California with his family and experience the beach together—a dream he’s held onto for years.
George's birthday was January 12 and he spent, what will probably be his last birthday, stuck in bed, sick with the flu.
The past two years have been incredibly challenging for George and his family. His daughter has been by his side, caring for him through countless treatments and hospital visits. Unfortunately, the treatments didn't work, and he's now receiving palliative care, and the urgency to enjoy what remains of life has become the familys' focus. The financial burden of two types of cancer treatment and increasingly frequent Dr. visits has been overwhelming, making it difficult to focus on anything beyond bills and medical care. Despite these hardships, George has remained positive and the family’s love and hope have never wavered.
George has always loved life and been an amazing friend to everyone he knows. He's always offered help, and never asked for anything in return. We want to do everything we can to help make his last days, hours, however much time God has blessed him with, be the most memorable it can be for him and his family.
Donations to this fundraiser will help cover travel expenses for the California trip, assist with ongoing bills, and support his final plans when God calls him home. More than anything, this journey would give George and his loved ones a chance to make precious memories and find moments of happiness together. Any donation, no matter the size, every share of this fundraiser, all will make a lasting difference. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and for sharing this fundraiser with others who may want to help. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
