Help George West get home to Texas

Howdy!

So I tried starting over here in Tennessee. Things looked bright at first. I applied for teaching positions all over the area and started working at the local Waffle House while waiting for interviews to come up.

The Waffle House tips have been *almost* enough to get me a place to live; but just enough to allow me to sleep in my car or a motel for a couple of nights a week.

Luckily a friend up here has a basement apartment he has been letting me live in until I could get something more permanent and not be "homeless".

I miss my kids so much it physically hurts. My health is better but not the best it's ever been. Given the failure of my efforts up here, I think it is better to be near my kids and safer for me to live in Texas near the people who can be there if something health-related comes up.

However, I'm stuck. I can make enough money to stay stuck here for a while, but not enough to get back home. I figure $525 will cover gas, an oil change, a motel night and a couple of meals on my trip HOME. GTT- Gone to Texas. Please help me out any way you can so I can load up what I've got left and get back where I belong!
