Dear friends, family, and fellow animal lovers,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a desperate plea for help. Our beloved cat, George, was recently the victim of a hit-and-run accident on 4th August. Left in the middle of the road, his life was hanging by a thread until a kind neighbour found him and rushed him to the vet. Their quick action saved George’s life, but he has a long road to recovery ahead.

George has endured unimaginable trauma. He has lost one eye and may be blind in the other. He has already undergone surgery to repair fractures on both top and bottom jaw and is tube feeding every 3 hours for the next month or so. Despite these severe injuries, George's spirit remains resilient. We were given the heartbreaking news that it wouldnt be unkind to put him to sleep considering his injuries, but we just couldn't bring ourselves to end his life when there was still hope. We chose to fight for him and hope to give him the best chance at a happy, healthy life, no matter the cost. The bill as of today (9th August) for 5 days inpatient treatment plus this surgery he has had, totals £5,700.

In addition to his current treatments, George will need further surgery to remove his broken teeth and two jaw splints once he has recovered from this initial round of surgeries.

We are aiming to raise as much as possible to cover George’s extensive medical bills. Every single pound helps, and we are profoundly grateful for any support you can offer. He is insured but unfortunately this only covers a fraction of his medical bills. George has been part of our family for over two years, ever since we took him in from a previous owner who could no longer care for him. He has brought so much joy and love into our lives, and we cannot imagine our home without him.
