George is the heart of our family and truly runs our household. Recently, he started throwing up and refused to eat, which was very unlike him. After two vet hospital visits, blood tests, and x-rays, we were sent to the emergency hospital for a sonogram and IV fluids. At this point, George had not eaten or drunk anything for four days, which put him at serious risk for liver damage. The emergency hospital discovered an obstruction in his small intestines, and on the fifth day, they performed surgery to remove it.

The days following surgery were incredibly stressful, as it took four more days before George would eat or drink anything. We were overjoyed when, on the tenth day, he finally ate his favorite frozen broccoli and started drinking again. Going this long without food can be critical for a cat's liver, but thankfully, his liver seems to be recovering well, and his bloodwork is improving. George is not just a pet—he's the center of our family, always greeting everyone who comes through our door and demanding plenty of love and attention.

We are so relieved that George is on the mend, but the medical bills ($7,600) for his care have been overwhelming. We are reaching out for help to cover these unexpected expenses so we can focus on George's recovery and getting him back to his happy, loving self.
