Help George Recover and Ease His Burden
Donation protected
Last summer, my younger brother, George had a seizure in his sleep. He was taken to the emergency room by ambulance. While in the emergency room, George went into A Fib and had to stay in the hospital until he came out of it. At this time his girlfriend and him were in the process of closing on the house they had just bought together. George's medical bills began adding up due to time spent in the hospital and testing during and after his hospital stay as well. On top of the new house and medical bills the motor in George's vehicle also needs to be replaced as of this fall. With everything going on he can't afford it but still needs to make payments on the vehicle.
On Friday, March 28th, George had another seizure at home. He decided to skip the ambulance ride against the paramedics recommendation due to not wanting to add to his bills. Within two hours George suffered from another seizure. This time the paramedics forced him to go to the hospital. While in the emergency room, George had a 3rd seizure in the bathroom which resulted in him falling. From this episode he received many bumps, and lacerations to his face, as well as his mouth, and bruises on other parts of his body. Due to the fall George then needed a CT scan which further adds to more testing and more bills. George once again went into A fib. They also diagnosed him with epilepsy.
Sunday morning the doctors were hopeful that he'd be released but his blood work came back showing that his kidneys are failing. The doctors said he needed to stay for more fluids and he'd be good to go home on Monday. I spoke with his girlfriend and George this morning (Monday) and his levels for his kidney came back worse than what they were yesterday which means he still can't leave the hospital. He was told another day or two. So the bills keep adding up and George is obviously unable to work while he's still hospitalized.
George is only 23 years old. This is a lot for such a young man to be dealing with. On top of going through all of this he is stressing out about all the medical bills adding up. And that's the last thing he should be worrying about right now. George is literally the most laid back person, who is nice to everyone, and is willing to help anyone who needs it if he can. But now he needs help. Anything will help, even if it's just sharing this fundraiser or praying for him. Thank you!
