Help George Lighty Cover Back Rent and Moving Costs

Hello Everyone. My name is George “June” Lighty. I am a 70-year old man, born and raised in Washington, DC.
Most of my youth was spent growing up in the Southwest/Waterfront area of DC, in the 60’s and 70’s.
I attended Western High School in Georgetown, DC; Harford Community College, in Bel Air, MD; and Fairleigh Dickinson University, in Rutherford, NJ.
I have played basketball, with and against, many of the greatest ballers ever to come out of the Washington Metro Area: to include Adrian Dantley, Kenny Carr, Larry Wright, “JoJo” Hunter, Billy Bryant, Lamont “RedDog” Butler, and Stacy Robinson, and the Herron brothers to name a few.
My crew from SWDC was one that could hold their own against anybody, they include: John Smith, Chester Baxter, James “Dr. J.” Jennings, Dwight Newby, Joe “all-everything” Brawner, and many others too numerous to name here including: my “forever” best friend, the 1973 “Mr. Western” and Grambling State University alumni, Mr. Reginald Newby.
There are many other people: ex-coworkers, multiple athletes and academicians, too many to list, who I have come to know, and who all have come to know me. I mention them all to say that anyone who knows me, knows how hard it is for me to ask for help from anyone.
So, now I humble myself before all of you, to ask for assistance to help cover my back rent payments, and to help with storage and moving expenses to a Senior Citizen subsidized residence. It’s all I can afford, living only on my Social Security retirement benefits, and having suffered catastrophic events, and life-changing circumstances.
The Biblical saying goes: “You have not, because you ask not.” I am asking for your donations to aid me in my restart to life in my Golden Years.
Thank you for any support that you may be able to offer. God bless you all.
