Hello everyone. This GoFundMe is for a good friend of mine named George Chandler. George wouldn’t want to share his life struggles with strangers, especially if it means he may receive some type of assistance. But as his friend, I will try to introduce you to the spirit of George. George is a humble, nonjudgemental, hard-working person. He’s a father, a grandfather, an uncle, a brother. He has endured a tough Philadelphia life and has suffered and survived an abusive childhood. As a result, George abused himself with drugs and alcohol for many years and has fought for sobriety through them all. Through his undying faith in God and the support of those who love him, George has successfully overcome these addictions and is now three years clean of drugs and alcohol. Watching George grow into his new clean life has brought joy to his family, friends and himself. Today he is returning the support he received during his quest for recovery by mentoring youth and other addicts and continues to be a regular Narcotics Anonymous participant. He has overcome many obstacles over the years and this latest event will prove to be his toughest one yet. Because of George’s unselfish nature he places his family, friends, and those in need before himself. He is a guy that always shows up for others no matter what he might be doing. He would give you his last dollar bill if you touched his heart. If you’re a friend or a loved-one, you already know, he will do anything for you! It was in this spirit of unselfishness and drive to help others that brings us to current events. George was helping out his sister and brother-in-law with their relationship struggles, when things went horribly wrong. He is now facing serious legal issues and is in desperate need of forgiveness and our support. He does not have the funds for a legal team. In our court system today, not having a competent legal team, is like sending him to jail without a defense. George is one of my best friends. I’m happy I met him 3 years ago and wouldn’t change it for the world. Anything helps and truly, even a dollar would be of great support. You will be thanked extremely by me, and you will definitely touch George’s heart.
