On March 2nd 2025, George Fisher jr. (AKA “JR”) of Gendron/Fisher Automotive, life was turned upside down when a devastating fire completely destroyed the automotive shop. Not only did the fire cause irreparable damage to the building, but it also took away a lifetime of hard work, dedication, and skill that was built with the tools of the trade.

For over 30 years, George has been a trusted mechanic in Alstead and surrounding communities, helping countless customers with car repairs, maintenance, and personal vehicle needs. Every day, he pours his heart and soul into his work, using the same tools he’s carefully collected and invested in for years. These tools weren’t just items – they represented George's passion, expertise, and livelihood. The shop fire has tragically destroyed all of them, leaving him without the means to continue serving the community in the way he always has.
