Help George fight prostate cancer

Hello to all. I’m Angela, and I have created this fundraiser for my husband George.

George is a father to 4, and has 7 beautiful grandchildren.

In December 2019, George was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. His treatment began with hormone injections and natural medicine. This combination helped George greatly at the time. Unfortunately, there is a limit to how many hormone injections he could have before they were no longer effective.

The doctors told us there was a trial chemotherapy drug that might be helpful for his case. The downside is that it is not FDA-approved in Australia and would cost $40,000. With this considered, and it being a trial drug, we searched for more options.

A sample of George's blood was sent to a lab in Germany, where it was tested to find which treatments would be most effective. We have been advised that intravenous vitamin C and curcumin would have an 80% success rate for his case. We have begun these treatments, which have had a huge, positive impact on his pain.

These treatments, along with George's medication, are costing about $2,500 a week. This has been difficult for us to afford, and George sometimes misses some of his treatments. So far, George's treatments have cost $170,000.

2 years ago, we sold our family cafe as George could no longer work. We have used the funds as efficiently as possible, but we are now in a position where funds have declined, and it's getting tough.
