George Fushi needs our help battling Covid-19


Dear Family and Friends,


At the end of June, my cousin George, his wife Tracy and 2 of his 5 children were diagnosed with Covid. As they began their home quarantine, it was apparent George was having a more difficult time fighting this awful virus. After a few days, George was in an ambulance headed for hospital care. He was placed on a ventilator in a medically induced coma on July 4, 2021, where he remains today. Thankfully, his wife and kids have recovered.

George is a father of five. His oldest son Jett is a nurse who has been on the front lines and cared for Covid-19 patients. He is engaged to be married. He and his fiance Kate have postponed their wedding multiple times this past year, like so many, due to Covid and are planning to be married this fall. Skylar is George's oldest daughter who is starting her master's degree. Next is Annabelle, who at age 16 was diagnosed with cancer. Thank goodness she battled and beat it! This year she starts her junior year of college. Next is Nick, who just graduated high school and begins his freshman year of college this fall. George and Tracy's youngest, Joe, will be sophomore in high school. To say these kids need their father's love and support is an understatement. George is an active and completely devoted dad, always supporting his kids in whatever they do, from sports to promoting their individual talents, George has been right by their side.

George and Tracy run their own business. Like many small business owners, when they don't work, they don't have an income. The medical bills will soon start coming in and we know they will be enormous! Add a mortgage, health insurance premium, three kids in college, one about to be married and one still in high school- it is too much for this family.

I am starting this GoFundMe page for my cousin to help with medical expenses and loss of income. George has a huge heart, he is one of the kindest and most selfless people I know. He is a master storyteller and friend to all. He is loved by his wife, children, sister, nieces, nephews, countless cousins and friends. We appreciate any help you can give to George and his family, as we know his road to recovery is going to be long, difficult and costly. We thank you all for your support, prayers and love during this challenging time.
