Hi, my name is Grace and I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible parents, George and Cynthia, who have spent their entire lives giving to their family, their community, and everyone lucky enough to know them.
My dad, George, has been a beloved local plumber for decades — known not just for his skill, but for always showing up with a warm heart and a helping hand. To his grandkids, he’s simply “Pops” — the kind of grandfather who could fix anything and always made them feel safe. You could always find him on the slopes of Cranmore, riding his road bike around the beautiful roads of our valley, in his famous work van heading to his next job or adventure or on the sidelines cheering on his beloved grand children.
My mom, Cynthia, is just as special. She’s been a local art teacher and creative soul who has touched countless of local generations with her kindness, creativity, and strength and education. Her grandkids call her “Honey” — and she truly is the sweetest light in all our lives.
After a year-long battle with cancer, my dad is coming home on hospice care. He has fought so hard, with dignity and courage. Every single day of this journey, my mom has been right beside him — caring for him, managing his appointments, taking him to his treatments, his medications, the house — everything. She’s carried this weight without hesitation, because that’s just who she is.
Now, with things coming to a sacred and heartbreaking moment, I am asking for help from our sweet community and friends.
Anything can help with,
• End-of-life care expenses
• Ongoing medical bills
• Daily living costs while we focus on being present with Dad and especially with the long New England winter approaching.
• A moment of financial breathing room for my mom, who has given everything
⸻
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just send a prayer, we are beyond grateful. Every bit helps ease the burden during this difficult time and allows our family to focus on love, presence, and saying goodbye the way he deserves.
George and Cynthia have always been the first to show up for others, and has poured their love and light into our community. Now, I humbly ask for that kindness in return.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
