Help Geoffro fight Glioblastoma Brain Tumour

In early 2019, our good mate Geoff Davey was diagnosed with a brain tumour that turned out to be Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme Brain Cancer. Glioblastoma Multiforme is the most aggressive form of brain cancer, which unfortunately is often terminal. The news was a devastating blow for Geoff, Fiona and their five teenage children. But in true Geoffro style, he was straight onto the front foot and fighting like a champion.

Geoffro's tumour is in an extremely dangerous area of the brain to operate on, with the risk of loss of speech and comprehension ruling out this option from the start. A decision which has been backed by three surgeons, including advice from world renowned Surgeon, Charlie Teo.  Geoff suffers from regular seizures, which his medical team try to control with medication. These medications have stripped the muscle tone from Geoff's body, affecting his strength and energy. It is a tough road...

Due to Geoff's treatment, the business that is his pride and joy, Davey Electrical and Air-Conditioning, unfortunately had to come to a halt in early March. The high level of medication, oncology appointments, hospital visits, surgeries andunfortunatleyjust general fatigue meant that he had to ask his staff to finish up, and park up the van for an undetermined amount of time - perhaps forever. Fiona has also taken indefinite leave from her job to care for Geoff while he fights this insidious tumour. 

So the decision has been made to fight the tumour with Chemo and Radiation therapy. Geoffro did amazingly well through the first round of Chemo and Radiation, with only minor hiccups caused by the doasge changes for his steroids. Geoff's second round of Chemo treatment has started recently and is beginning to take a heavy toll on Geoff.

So, the time has come to assist Geoff in his fight against this Glioblastoma Multiforme Brain Tumour. Any donation, large or small, will help take some the financial burden off Geoff and Fiona while they navigate their way through this harrowing and daunting journey with their family.

All funds raised will be controlled by Geoff and Fiona to help cover the cost of Geoff's ongoing treatment and associated expenses.
