My name is Geoffrey McCauley I am an artist who is currently homeless in the city of Boise. A few years back I made a mistake and ended up on probation. I spent the last 2.5 years jobless and the last year in treatment for drug addiction and could not work due to an open disability case. It took social security a whole year to deny my claim due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I currently cannot afford to pay my fines and I am facing jail time over it. I need help, and they're not waving my probation violation for not being able to pay my fees and restitution. What's even more distressing is that I'm doing good things for the homeless Community here through an art collective that I started to benefit talented people in poverty to the point where i got a grant from the city of Boise to do a documentary about the collective and how the pandemic affected our community. I need help getting these fees paid and started a fund raiser because I don't know what else to do.about it. Im 2.5 years overdue. A donation of $150 or more will get a free painting signed by me and donations $50 or more to get a smaller painting signed by me. If anyone can help me, please, feel free to donate anything you can. Please share my fundraiser and if you can make a payment I'd really appreciate it because I could really use all the help I can get. I'm trying to reach a goal of $2,000 which is a little under half of what I owe and if there's anything you can contribute please don't hesitate. I am over 500 days clean and sober and trying to better my life and get back on my feet.
