HELP SAVE GENTRY!!!

Despite his aristocratic name, Gentry has not been able to achieve the kind of lifestyle he deserves. He is a beautiful German Shepherd who has been suffering with hip dysplasia for years. Having already had surgery on one of his hips, we are hoping to have his other side repaired so he can live pain-free for the first time in a long time!

Gentry has been passed around from shelter to shelter – difficult to place because of his health issues. His current residence is C.A.R.L., a Southern California rescue, that has been working hard to give him a new lease on life. Despite their efforts, he has been in the same kennel FOR OVER THREE YEARS! While he is cared for by their loving staff and volunteers, being in a shelter long-term is not ideal for any dog.

Please help us help him! We have to get this darling boy a REAL life with his very own furever family!

Working Dogs of Nevada has stepped up to take Gentry into their amazing facility! They are a professional training operation, and because they provide every kind of care, including retraining and placement, there are some fees attached to their acceptance of any dog. Gentry will be taken in and allowed the time he needs to decompress in a large housing area...NO MORE KENNELS! As he settles in, their experienced training staff will do a full evaluation of temperament and learning style, as well as a full veterinary workup. Once he completes his probationary stay there, his hips will be reevaluated with the potential to be surgically remedied!

This dog has been failed by people time and time again. You can be one of the humans that steps up for Gentry and gives him a second chance at a productive life!

Once there, you can see the most recent success that Dog Days Search and Rescue has been a part of. DDSaR took another dog, Sammy, to Nevada back in October; he has since completed his training and been adopted! If you take a look at the photos from the day he was delivered to the photos of him completing his training, you can see that he looks like a completely different pup! The new light in his eyes is incredible and every dog deserves their chance to shine. Gentry certainly does.

Give Gentry his chance to be the dog he was meant to be.
