Help Geno Overcome Health and Financial Struggles

My name is Gary Meskil. I have set up this GoFundMe campaign for a dear friend in need, Eugene "Geno" Lahowin. Geno and I grew up three doors down from each other in Baldwin Harbor, NY, and we have remained close ever since.

In early adulthood, Geno had worked for my band PRO-PAIN as a drum tech/stage manager for several tours, and although he has subsequently and successfully worked for many years as a union carpenter (Local 157) and as a painter, Geno has unfortunately fallen on hard times after a series of devastating setbacks. Despite having chronic diverticulitis, he recently had to undergo an emergency angioplasty (stent surgery) to alleviate painful edema in his legs and feet. The lack of physically being able to work enough hours to pay the bills has led Geno into a severe state of dire straits and depression.

Having just gotten back from NY (and seeing Geno), I felt compelled to start this GoFundMe campaign on his behalf so that his friends can donate funds in order to help him get back on his feet again as he seeks new and less physically demanding employment.
