Hi! Genny Mack here! I know it’s interesting to see me in a different way. To be honest, my health has been gradually declining since June 2022. I’ve caught COVID and then because of lupus and being immune compromised, I’ve become more susceptible to several infections.

I am now on a journey to take control of my health and advocate to get the medical support needed to get energetic and full of love again.

I’ve been to dozens of doctor’s appointments and countless emergency room visits to figure out the underlying cause of my illness.

I’ve been asked, ‘how do you get so sick when you live a healthy lifestyle?’ Well… lupus. It’s an aggressive autoimmune diseases and there are many triggers which can cause flares and chronic issues. I do believe that I am alive today because of the way that I live, moved and ate.

My physical condition has declined and some days, I can’t get out the bed. I’ve been on bed rest for 5 weeks and now admitted in the hospital. I am 30 lbs underweight and anemic with chronic pain.

Your contribution will help cover medical, travel and food expenses during this time.

I hope to get to the underlying root cause of these lupus flares to not only get back to where I’ve been was but help others heal as well.

update 3/26: I’ve updated the fundraising goal and I’ve spent more time in the hospital than expected. I hope to further cover medical expenses and travel for my mother to help my husband caretake. This will also help me cover expenses for a functional doctor. Thank you
