Hi, this fundraiser is about my horse Genghis who I bought from administrators in May. Today we discovered he unfortunately has quite a serious disease of the hoof, Canker. “Equine canker is a chronic and progressive condition that affects the hoof, specifically the frog, and can involve the sole, heel bulbs, and even the hoof wall. It's characterized by proliferative inflammation and tissue degeneration, often appearing as a cauliflower-like or ragged growth with a foul odor. While the exact cause is unknown, it's thought to involve bacteria, possibly spirochetes, and possibly a viral component like bovine papillomavirus.”

Genghis will have to have a trip to the equine hospital where my vets and farrier will help him by surgically removing it and keeping on top of it to treat it properly so it doesn’t come back, he will have to stay for a week to be monitored if he can be saved by the surgery.

I was incredibly upset when I found out as I’ve not had poor Genghis long, while I’m going to sell absolutely everything I can to pay for this I don’t think it will be enough so I have created this go fund me to see if we could get some support through this time as I’ve had an absolutely unimaginable 6 months and my animals getting ill is making me so upset, I don’t know what to do
