Help Genesiss replace their work vehicle!

hello! & thank you for taking a moment to listen to a community member in need & support in any way you may be able to.
this crowdfundraiser was created by dear friends of Genesiss Mejia, who have witnessed Genesiss's big heart & hard work firsthand. Genesiss has made their living as a bike messenger for over five years; unfortunately, their chronic knee pain (which was pre-existing, but exacerbated by the physical demands of their job) became so severe that they were unable to continue cycling for work.
to overcome this, Genesiss saved up for months & invested in a MOPED! so that they could continue their messenger work despite their disability.
on April 1st (no joke), the moped was stolen from a parking spot in Clinton Hill—just one week after they had purchased it. this has left Genesiss in a super tight spot: still in pain, unable to work, & with an empty savings account.
Genesiss is a Black trans person navigating physical & mental illness while trying to survive capitalism. these systems do not support them. we are calling upon our community for help. this fundraiser is meant to assist them in recuperating this loss.

• safety/security equipment: $100
