In 1983, Gene Flint made the McKenzie Valley his home. Blue River, Oregon was where he would start his career with the Blue River Ranger Station, become a local EMT and also become Blue River Volunteer Fire Department Chief for 20+ years. Gene gave his love and compassion to this community for many years all while raising my sister and I, giving us a childhood in an area most people dream about.
On Monday September 8th, 2020, Gene, along with so many others lost everything to the Holiday Farm Fire. The whole life he built in Blue River was gone in the blink of an eye.
Insurance will cover some but there is so much they will not. My sister and I asking for your help for him rebuild his home. I am asking for him because I know he is the type of person who will not ask for help himself.
Any donations to help our father rebuild his home would be greatly appreciated. Anything extra will be donated to the community of Blue River. #McKenzieStrong
