Help Gemma Get to the Official Strongman Games 2025 in Texas

Hi, I’m fundraising to help Gemma compete in the Official Strongman Games (OSG) in Arlington, Texas this November 2025—representing the adaptive athlete community on the world stage.

Gemma's Story

Gemma wasn’t always a Strongwoman. She served 18 years in the Royal Army Medical Corps as a Combat Medic. She deployed to Bosnia, Afghanistan, and trained across the globe. She gave everything she had to serve others—until injuries forced her to hang up the uniform.

That transition broke Gemma in ways we didn’t expect.

Leaving the military felt like losing a part of who she was. She went from being strong, capable, and respected… to feeling lost, angry, depressed, and frustrated at what her body could no longer do. She grieved the life she had, and she struggled to accept her “new normal.”

But then, something shifted.

Gemma discovered para powerlifting, and later, Disabled Strongman—and that’s when everything began to change. The first time she picked up a barbell again, she felt something she hadn’t felt in years: purpose.

Strongman gave Gemma back her voice. It quieted the dark thoughts and gave her something powerful to hold on to—a reason to fight again. Gemma stopped focusing on what was “wrong” with her, and started celebrating what was still strong, still resilient, still relentless.

What has Gemma Achieved

Since 2021, Gemma has gone from complete novice to nationally and internationally ranked in Disabled Strongman.
  • Britain's Strongest Disabled Woman 2021
  • Arnolds Disabled Strongwoman 2021 / 2022 (WR Seated deadlift)
  • England's 2nd Strongest Disabled Woman 2023 / 2024
  • World's Strongest Disabled Woman 2024 (WR for Atlas Stone)
  • England's Strongest Disabled Woman 2025

This isn’t just about medals or trophies (though I’m proud of every one of them she has achieved and earned). It’s about showing the world—and especially other veterans and disabled athletes—that being disabled does not mean being broken. It means adapting, overcoming, and finding new ways to rise.

How Your Support Will Help Gemma

Competing at OSG is a huge honour, but it comes with real costs. Every donation will help cover:

  • Flights and accommodation to Texas
  • Competition entry fees
  • Equipment and adaptive training tools
  • Nutrition and recovery support
  • Medical and accessibility needs

Every penny goes toward helping Gemma show up, fully prepared and proudly representing the adaptive community on a global stage.

Why is Gemma Doing This ( Gemma own words)

This isn’t just for me.

It’s for every soldier who came home feeling lost.
For every disabled athlete who was told “you can’t.”
For everyone who has felt like their best days were behind them.

I’m here to prove that your story isn’t over—it’s just changing chapters. I hope to inspire others to be relentless in pushing their limits and redefining what strength looks like.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping Gemma chase this dream—and for standing with her in showing the world what adaptive athletes are truly made of.

With gratitude and grit,
