Gemini is a sweet rescue cat who has been through so much in her short life. She has had a persistent upper respiratory infection, and despite countless vet visits and treatments, her health struggles have continued. Just this morning, I found her licking her bottom and discovered she had suffered a prolapse of her intestines—a frightening and urgent medical emergency.

As someone who runs a rescue, I do everything I can to help animals like Gemini find loving homes. But it's difficult to get people to adopt a pet who is already sick and needs ongoing care. I pay for all of Gemini's medical expenses myself, and I've already used every last penny I have, as well as the funds we had set aside for moving the rescue in March. Despite these challenges, I refuse to give up on her.
