Help Geena Rae Secure Her Home and Health

I am looking to raise funds to help me catch up on rent and bills, fix my car, as well as help me pay for a few specialized medical expenses that I otherwise cannot afford at this time. Over the last few months I have gone through an impactful slew of physical and mental health issues, as well as a transition in my employment and living situations. This all comes after years of burnout and the need for a higher level of care after a major head injury in 2016. I am now at risk of losing my apartment.

For those that might not be aware, I was a victim of a violent crime in October 2016, having sustained gunshot wounds to my mouth and the back of my head. I am seeking more intensive therapies for both PTSD and TBI, as well as (finally) beginning the process of addressing some pretty extensive, specialized dental work - the nature of which has been, frankly, overwhelming to say the least. That being said, I have fallen behind, and I am exhausted.

Your donations will help me pursue long overdue care and healing tools, and ensure a stable living situation while I get back on my feet financially. I have resisted the urge to ask for donations for years, as I feel that my situation is largely a result of my own poor decisions. However, I am asking for help now as an act of harm reduction moving forward. Your donations will help me catch up enough that I can continue to focus on my passions, art and music. I hope to give back to my community in this way. Any funds raised beyond my fundraising goal will go toward music production costs. I have a lot of ideas that I want to release, and with community support I could do so, in deepest gratitude.
