Who we are:
Hi everyone, We are the Gears Theatre Company! We are a collective of recent George Brown graduates & theatre artists currently based around the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and we need your help in supporting local Canadian art & talent.
Recently, Gears Theatre Co. was given a spot in the Toronto Fringe Festival! Gears Theatre Co. Is now currently in the works of producing a new original Canadian theatrical play called “BIRTH”. And will premiere on Crows Nest Theatre’s stage from July 7th to July 16th 2022.
A Brief Blurb of the Play:
BIRTH is a human genesis story with a twist, asking the question: what is the purpose of humanity? How did we start? And where did we come from? In a surrealist universe shrouded in mystery, manipulated by powerful gods.
Why We Are Fundraising:
We at Gears Theatre Co. are raising funds to provide our local Canadian artists with the necessary tools and space to help uplift new Canadian stories in a productive and safe working environment

- providing a safe rehearsal space for actors to develop and play
- assisting with advertisement to showcase new Canadian work
- providing costumes & props to assist actors in telling stories
- providing a set and equipment to help build the world of the play
- providing programs to showcase new emerging Canadian talent to audiences
- printing/photo copying flyers, scripts and posters
