We've had two A/C failures this summer and a huge number of new ferrets at the shelter. We're counting on our Chicagoland community to raise money for those costly repairs. Any remaining money will go into GCFA's building fund. It's our goal to one day offer a permanent location for our ferrets to stay in until they can find their forever home.

Your money always goes 100% toward animal care, we do NOT employ staff. We rely on the contributions of our community and loyal supporters to keep our mission going.

Greater Chicago Ferret Association (GCFA): The only non-profit animal shelter in Chicagoland that rescues and rehabilitates ferrets. We are a volunteer-only 501(c)(3) located in the heart of Lyons, IL. We take in any and every surrendered ferret and give them a new home through our stringent adoption process (which if you've been through–you know it's thorough!). Our goal is to take every surrendered or abandoned ferret and give them a forever home.
