Help Gazan Students Pursue Their Studies
Donation protected
Since October 2023, Gaza has endured over 21 months of continuous war and destruction, leaving behind a disaster of historic proportions.
Students and universities have been among the most severely affected: The infrastructure has been destroyed, professors have been killed, as have students and university administrators. Libraries no longer exist.
In spite of such immense hardship, universities in Gaza have resumed their activities of educating Gazan youth: thousands of online courses have been set up, and degrees are again being awarded. Gazan universities are alive, in spite of it all.
In order to pursue their activities, however, Gazan universities need funds: and this, in large part, depends on student tuition fees.
Academic Solidarity with Palestine, an international NGO which has been helping Gazan students and universities since February 2024, has therefore decided to embark on a campaign to help Gazan students pay their tuition fees.
This will serve the twin purpose of i) helping Gazan students graduate, enrol or re-enrol in their universities and pursue their studies with full credits, and ii) supporting Gazan universities pay their staff, faculty, and start re-building their infrastructure.
Every Dollar Counts
In Gaza, tuition fees range between $15 and $100 per credit, with most students needing about 18 credits per semester.
Even a small contribution can go a long way.
Your donation will help a student:
• Complete their final exam.
• Receive their degree.
• Apply for a scholarship abroad.
• Seek other higher education opportunities.
• Start a new chapter.
This Is More Than Tuition – It’s a Lifeline
For many students, this diploma may be their only key to a better life. In a place where options are vanishing, education is one of the last doors still open.
Join us in keeping it open.
How the Fund Will Be Managed
We are committed to transparency and impact. That’s why ASWP has created a clear set of guidelines for distributing the donations:
• Funds will be paid directly to Gazan universities on behalf of the students.
• Priority will be given to:
1. Students who have completed their academic requirements but cannot graduate due to unpaid tuition.
2. Final-year students who are just a few courses away from graduation.
3. Students moving backward from penultimate to first-year levels.
4. Students who receive no support from other sources.
We are also collaborating with other NGOs to avoid duplication and maximize outreach.
Donate today. Help give Gazan students a future.
