Help Gazan performing artists continue

Mohanad Smama is a talented Palestinian dance artist hailing from the city of Gaza. As a dancer, choreographer, and the visionary founder of the hai Contemporary Arts Team

He founded the first contemporary dance hall in Gaza. He has recently been invited to participate internationally in several artistic workshops and residencies, but unfortunately the conditions of genocide and siege prevented him leaving Gaza.

Mohanad's life has been defined by violence, as he navigates the ongoing genocide and violence in a danger zone of his homeland Gaza, Palestine.

Mohanad has lost his home, his belongings, and his sense of security, leaving him with nothing but his body and his unwavering determination for a better future.

Despite the devastating circumstances he faces, Mohanad's dream of creating a safe space for dance continues to inspire us all. In the midst of chaos, art and expression provide solace and hope, serving as a beacon of light in the midst of the chaos. It is imperative that we rally together to support Mohanad and his fellow dance artists in Gaza Palestine, ensuring their voices are heard and their dreams are realized.

To help Mohanad in his journey to safety and freedom, we are actively fundraising to provide him with the necessary means to escape the violence that surrounds him. Our goal is to assist him in relocating to a secure environment where he can rebuild his life and dance for a future free from fear and oppression.
