Help Save Gaza Widow and Her Three Children
Donation protected
I am Laura from Washington DC and I created this page for Tea Ghada Alareer from Gaza, a widowed mother of three who is now struggling to care for her children in the midst of unimaginable hardships. I was connected to Tea by my friend Doaa, her sister who is also trapped in Gaza.
Tea’s beloved husband was killed in November while out getting food for his family. Since then, Tea and her sons Suleiman, age 6, Zareef, age 4, and Omar age 1 have been displaced multiple times. They fled their home in Gaza City for refuge in a school, and then to Al-Shifa Hospital when the school was attacked. After orders to evacuate the hospital, they were displaced to Rafah, making the grueling journey by foot in hopes that they would finally find safety. However, after the Rafah invasion, Tea had to pick up her children and walk again, finally reaching Deir al-Balah.
Now, exhausted, terrified and still grieving the loss of her husband, Tea is struggling to care for her children as a single mother. Life in their tent is uncomfortable and unsanitary. Food, water and basic necessities are scarce and expensive. Overwhelmed with these challenges it can be hard to do anything but cry.
But Tea continues on, determined to provide for her children. She dreams of reuniting with her sisters and seeing her boys playing and laughing with their cousins once more.
This is where you come in. With your donations, Tea and her boys can buy the food and basic necessities they need to survive until the borders reopen. Then, Tea and her sons will use the money to evacuate out of Gaza so that they can start a new and safe life.
Your Donations cover:
* Basic necessities
(water, food, hygiene products)
* Passport fees
* Border crossing fees
* Temporary accommodations in Egypt
Thank you for helping this beautiful family survive and rebuild their shattered dreams. Please, donate if you can and share as much as possible.
