Help gay bar owners fight life-threatening cancer

She’s held fundraisers for countless others over the years at her gay bar, Just Us, in Biloxi, Mississippi.

But Lynn Koval resisted a GoFundMe page to help with personal medical emergencies. Her family and friends insisted and she finally relented.

Lynn has helped, inspired and offered sanctuary to so many LGBTQIA+ people over the tumultuous decades on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

While she and her wife have insurance, co-pays and expenses are adding up as Lynn is treated for Stage 4 throat cancer and her wife Tamara for a benign but inoperable tumor on her pituitary gland.

Doctors discovered Tamara's tumor as Lynn started grueling radiation and chemotherapy.

Medication and travel costs for treatments are adding up, as are unanticipated expenses made worse by inflation.

That these illnesses should befall them at one time is unthinkable, but they remain strong and are posting updates to Lynn’s Love Line on Facebook.
