Hi my name is Debbie. I am Gavin Smith's grandma.

Gavin was involved in an altercation and shooting in Toronto on December 12th, 2021 and sustained critical and permanent injuries. His recovery will be costly and a life long journey.

Gavin will remain in hospital for an extended period of time. Once he is able to, he will move in to his own home; where he will require significant care and resources for the rest of his life.

We are hoping to supplement his recovery with help from you for things like: Wheelchair, ramps, medical equipment, in-home care giving, medication, transportation and therapy.

These are everyday things we take for granted in life. Gavin is surrounded by lots of love and support. He is in fair spirits and up the challenges he faces.
